This versatile, water-based primer and topcoat is suitable for both interior and exterior use, directly on metal surfaces. Ideal for industrial maintenance and construction, it can be applied to machinery, farm equipment, fixtures, and more. It offers excellent color and gloss retention and can also be used as a flat finish topcoat. Surface preparation involves removing loose paint, dust, rust, or dirt, and cleaning iron and steel surfaces with a solvent. Prime bare steel within 8 hours to prevent flash rusting. Allow at least 6 months for surfaces to weather before priming. Topcoat with Do it Best waterborne or alkyd industrial enamel. Apply using a synthetic brush, roller, or airless sprayer, and clean up with soap and water. It covers approximately 150 to 290 square feet per gallon and dries to touch in 20 to 45 minutes, or can be recoated in 4 to 6 hours.
